BIOGRAPHY

In August 1984, from the tranquil village of Pointe Michel, nestled on Dominica's South Western Coast, emerged THE FIRST SERENADE BAND, renowned as one of Dominica's top bands.  The versatility and originality of their music has satisfied many in Dominica and elsewhere with a variety of types of music including Zouk, Soca, Calypso, Bouyon, and soukous music, which can be heard on their 1991 "Debouye" and 2000 “We Nah Done Yet” Albums.

The group has been in existence for more than twenty-three (23) years.  The Band seeks to promote Dominica's Music and Culture, enabling in the erosion of Cultural Music barriers.  The Band also wants to play a part in Caribbean music integration.  Music, like an intangible life source of satisfaction, has kept the spirit of the group alive through their musical journey.
